Walmart participated, in partnership with the Instituto Ethos, in the construction of the Negócios Sustentáveis (Sustainable Business) project that aims to create new models of products, services or processes that can be replicated in scale, raising the standard of social and environmental management in Brazil. The initiative allows companies and credit agents to move closer for green operations.
Walmart was invited by the Instituto Ethos to present the Project at the World Forum Lille, held in France in October 2014. Presentations were made on the mini and micro generation of the energy photovoltaic distribution model, which was one of the models that had already been defined within the program.
From 2015, the Instituto Ethos will make a simulator available on its internet portal that will allow the amount needed for the investment in a mini and micro energy generation model to be calculated, based on the size of the company, form of financing and the time for the return and amortization.
